Nisene Technology Group is well-known for their innovative efforts in creating and advancing semiconductors, specifically Integrated Circuits (ICs) made from Silicon and Silicon Carbide Wafers. Nisene has been leading in innovation since the 1970s, constantly improving IC and AI components to keep up with the increasing complexity of modern semiconductor devices. Throughout the years, Nisene has created a minimum of 50 unique ICs and obtained multiple patents, establishing itself as a key player in the industry.
"The acquisition complements Polymatech's leading-edge product portfolio and enables the development of new classes of products," said Ryan Young, incoming CEO of Nisene. Nisene's expertise in Silicon and Silicon Carbide, combined with Polymatech's Sapphire-based semiconductors, creates a unique multi-wafer technology. This merger positions Polymatech as potentially the only company in the world with such a comprehensive semiconductor offering.
Polymatech plans to keep manufacturing Sapphire Wafers with cutting-edge technology provided by top European tool suppliers, with the equipment scheduled to arrive at their facility by January 2025. Polymatech will switch to the new European technology for growing Sapphire, thanks to a faster methodology adopted, following the completion of their previous agreement with Orbray. Furthermore, the Polymatech group will receive the most up-to-date Silicon Carbide Wafer Technology from their EU partner.
