Tarq Semiconductors to Spark 11,000 Job Opportunities in Semicon Industry

Tarq Semiconductors intends to create 1,000 direct and 10,000 indirect employment opportunities, whereas Vama Sundari Investments will aim for the development of 3,780 direct and indirect jobs. Their nearness to the Noida international airport is viewed as a strategic benefit for incorporating Uttar Pradesh into India’s growing semiconductor sector.

Tarq Semiconductors, within the Hiranandani Group, aims to allocate ?28,440 crore in Sector 28 for the manufacturing of compound semiconductors, silicon photonics devices, integrated circuits, and optoelectronic components. In the meantime, Vama Sundari Investments has allocated ?3,706 crore to set up a manufacturing facility in Sector 10, dedicated to display driver integrated circuits (DDIC) and semiconductor assembly, officials noted.

“These facilities will position Uttar Pradesh as a key player in India’s semiconductor ecosystem,” said Arun Vir Singh, chief executive officer of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida). However, both projects await final approval from the central government to commence operations, according to officials.
